Kanger Subtank Mini RDA Build

The Kanger Subtank is a game changer in the world of clearomizers. I was a little skeptical at

first since I'm not a fan of clearomizers, I'm an RDA fan, but after I tried the Kanger Subtank Mini, I'm sold on it. 

There are 3 versions, the Subtank Nano, Subtank Mini and Subtank Plus. The Mini and the Plus are pretty much the same; the Plus is just way bigger, holding 7.5mL of e-Liquid compared to the Mini which holds 4.5mL. The Nano holds a respectable 3mL.

So anyways, I got the Subtank Mini and tried it out. I used the stock .5 ohm OCC coils and filled the tank up. I took a hit and I was pretty floored. The vapor was rich and full, the flavor popped - a far cry from the Protanks and clear clearomizers I had tried, whose flavors were muted with nonexistent clouds - and I only had my Sigelei 100W Plus at 30 watts!

The clouds were comparable, not quite the same, but really close to what I was getting from my RDA. 

So that's awesome, but the coolness doesn't end there. The Subtank Mini and Subtank Plus also

come with a rebuildable base so you can build your own coils with your own wick. The Nano version doesn't come included with this but you can buy it separate if you like the nano. So I tried this out too. It took me a little while to get the wicking right, it is tricky. I recommend checking out a YouTube video to see how the wicking is done. But once I got the hang of it, it performed even better. I suggest spending the time to learn it because the replacement coils can get a little pricey. But, the coils are meant for higher wattage and are made with organic cotton rather than silica which you see on most clearomizer coils. 

So all in all, I've been extremely impressed with the Kanger Subtank. You also get in the package, an extra glass tank in case you break yours, extra O-Rings, extra screws, a drip tip, Japanese Organic cotton, a .5 ohm OCC coil and a 1.2 ohm OCC coil and a screwdriver. It really is a great deal.

With the convenience of not having to drip all the time but still getting close to the performance of an RDA, the Kanger Subtank was a great buy. I didn't pay attention to it before but I'm glad I did. Check it out if you haven't already!
